In the month of August and under strict security measures implemented by the WHO, the dominican government and with the consent of their parents and guardians, we plan for the children participants (group reduced to 40% of our capacity regular) holiday plans, which offer the opportunity of reunion and integration, and with a different learning, socialization with DISTANCE in time pandemito, where an element of protection to the health framework for the two weeks of permanence, because usually the plan is designed to take 6 weeks of their summer vacation.
During these two weeks, the children, girls and teenagers had the opportunity to share with other young people of your same age at the time adhering to the distancing measures and protection. Apart from to discover their talents through various cultural activities, arts, recreation, sports, leisure, ecological and training. Making experiences significant during this period of leisure vacation, time that they served as personal growth, creation, recreation, and participation in society. To accomplish this, our support team perform their activities with due planning thus avoiding improvisation, complying with the recommendations of the World health Organization, vital measure to help slow the spread of this virus (COVID-19) and that in our Town up to the time I didn't have the first case reported positive.
The different activities could be adapted to this time of pandemic to the characteristics of the population and to the teaching resources available. For this reason, these activities tailored to the time they were part of our program the vacation plan 2020, which was performed within our facilities, which have an area quite reasonable and for that reason we made it easy to keep the distance suggested.
Among the preventive measures that were used were:
• Standards of hygiene and care to avoid the virus. (Not a handshake, using sanitizer and soap)
• Appropriate use of facial masks and keep social distancing, as well as washing hands when entering and leaving the facilities, and from any place.
• Were carried out protective masks, activity carried out by adolescents between the ages of 13 to 16 years.
• It is made drawings and paintings in watercolors with the kids to decorate the spaces of CEPESAMAM.
• We made photo frames with recyclable material between the activities with an environmental nature, where they are used lids of soft drinks, popsicles, etc thus Helping to raise awareness about the care of the environment as well as activities that challenge their physical abilities, and which constitutes a novelty in its day-to-day and to finally get a positive learning, which adds to your life.
The vacation plan filled with expectations “Boys and Girls Club RD, CNN” in this very difficult time, as all young people maintained an interest in all times and also participated demonstrating that you can learn in a playful way, effective and at a distance, despite the current circumstances.
